Here we go!

Welcome, welcome! It's a new school year! Can you believe it? How was everyone's summer? Hope you are relaxed and refreshed, ready to take on all the wonderful things we have planned for this year.

This summer I stayed very busy, but I like it that way. I went to the beach (one of my favorite places!) the first week of summer... but it rained the whole time. Bummer. Then I worked at a summer camp for high school students at Gadsden State Community College. At camp, we did some neat things, like catch fish, insects, salamanders, and crayfish in this pretty little place...

Turkey Creek Nature Reserve, Pinson, Alabama

I spent the rest of the summer working on my house, swimming a little bit, and working in our classroom to make it a friendly and comfortable place for you to learn and enjoy! This page you are reading will serve as our classroom website. I will be posting a little bit of this and that, but mainly keeping you updated on what is happening around school, especially in our classroom. I hope you will find it useful. Feel free to email me with any questions. Let's have a wonderful year at R. A. Mitchell!
